Due to Covid-19 these days almost everyone is locked at home and avoiding moving out for the safety reason. I was discussing with few of my friends on this situation like how this is affecting our life and the way we are working. Although there are lots of negative news everywhere and people are trying their best to run their life smoothly with all the restrictions and problems they are facing, however I think one proverb is perfect for this situation “Necessity is the mother of invention”. Lots of creative minds are working and finding very creative way to work in this difficult situation. I see many new innovation or add-on services are about to include in future in different sectors.
I feel following changes are about to come soon:
- Cab Service: A special category will be added known as “Sanitized Car” which will make sure car is sanitized before pick up the passenger. It is also possible car manufacturing companies will implement a special feature in which we can sanitize car whenever we want.
- Bus Service: After every round of service they have to get a sanitization certificate from authorized service center.
- Airline: Human thermal/decease scanner will be placed and every passenger will carry a health certificate or it can be included in a chip which can be scanned at airport.
- Sanitization Center: In every city new sanitization center will be set up for vehicles.
- Sanitization Booth: In every city there will many sanitization booth, where people can be sanitized. For example before entering in to the mall or public places.
- Work Culture: As work from home is already a priority these days but there is a huge scope of improvement in this area such as:
- More work from home friendly furniture will be made.
- Special WFH booth can be setup or sold to the people who don’t have space in their home for work privacy.
- Companies will spend more money on improving WFH setup than building infrastructure and office space.
- Instead of business meeting at public place there will be live virtual meeting room which can build with artificial intelligent.
- Shopping: This is the area has a huge scope of improvement. People will avoid travelling to malls and shops.
- Contact less delivery: Major companies will provide contact less delivery to their customers, which they can achieve through different automation and may be through robotics or drone. Special certificate will be issued with delivery “Our product is 100% sanitize and contact less”
- Online shopping is already in use but still there is a scope of improvement in delivery time, I will say big scope of business here.
- Augmented reality and IoT are going to play a big role in improving our shopping experience.
- We don’t have to go out from our car, we can see all detail of a product from outside the shop on our mobile in real time through augmented reality based application.
- Greeting: People have already adopted “Namaste” in place of shaking hands and this will be future trend too to greet each other.
- Healthcare Service: Every country will give more importance to improve their healthcare services and allocate more funds to emergency services. People will be more careful about their health to improve their immunity by proper diet or exercise as it will be easy to get some time while working from home.
- Female Contribution: Now there will be more contribution in economy through female power as I feel they are better in managing stuff and can play a key role in any organization while working from home.
